Nobby's Ballpark is the home stadium for the Benedictine Bengals. The park is named after Norbert Lewandowski, who graduated Benedictine in 1955. Nobby was a four year letterman at Benedictine then went on to play at Kent State and in the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization. He ended his baseball career in 1965 to work for and eventually open his own accounting firm. Having made a good living, he decided to build a stadium on the campus of Case Western for Case's baseball team and for his Alma Mater, Benedictine. Being very accomplished in his baseball career, Nobby has won many awards from being inducted to the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame to being inducted to the Greater Akron Sports Hall of Fame. Not to mention, Lewendowski was Mr. Benedictine in 1955. Benedictine is very proud to have him give back and help the school and baseball program.
